Job Description:

Full time position, housed in Dothan, Alabama, working with Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services, under the direct supervision of the JCCD Director, to provide individuals who are deaf and hard and hearing employment, job coaching and interpreter services.  Duties require conducting intakes, job-readiness training, detailed case management services, performing job development and job placement activities, on-site and off-site job training.  Individual must demonstrate positive work ethic, flexibility, dependability and accountability.  Individual must have superior communication skills and be able to interact with a variety of people on various levels and to facilitate communication with employers.  Position requires travel, varied work hours in a range of conditions and excellent interpersonal skills.  Must possess knowledge of deafness, deaf culture, rehabilitation practices & sign language skills.  Education equivalent to a HS diploma required; Associates Degree or Post-Secondary Degree with major coursework in counseling; rehabilitation services or other related field preferred. Must be able to acquire and maintain Interpreter Permit with the Alabama Licensure Board of Interpreters and Transliterates. Individual is responsible to the Easter Seals Central Alabama Executive Director for the efficient and ethical performance of duties.

Janice Capilouto Center for the Deaf (JCCD) is a community rehabilitation program of Easter Seals Central Alabama offering comprehensive services to individuals who are deaf & hard of hearing.  Located in Montgomery with services offered in south central Alabama, with a satellite location in Dothan.

Job Description:

This is a full-time position with a coordinated transportation program with a nonprofit. Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision and have demonstrated experience in organizing a small business office. Skills should include good writing skills, understanding and keeping records of accounts payable and receivables, preparation of reports, proposals and simple desktop-publishing- type graphics, simple spreadsheets and databases. Some experience with transportation systems/issues is preferred but not required
